Effective front-end development is a must for every online project that aims to deliver smooth user experience without reinventing the JavaScript coding wheel :) jQuery is of huge help for this to happen, and the numerous plug-ins available make their offering even sweeter! We can't even think of the time that this framework has saved us. And it's really a pleasure to code in JavaScript thanks to it.

It's AMAZing that a signle company - AMAZon - can do extraordinary well so many things - selling books and goods, making its own devices (the Kindle family) and providing one of the greatest cloud platforms that acutally made the word "cloud" a tech buzz-word. Amazon Web Services is such a great platform for start-ups and we are right in this category. We at StockPodium are currently starting to use more and more of their great and flexible services.
New Relic
We can say only one thing about it - "Wow!!!". OK, a few more words now... New Relic is, simply said, an amazing tool for web monitoring. It can save you a huge amount of time otherwise needed to dig in your code trying to profile it and/or writing cron jobs to monitor your services. Thanks to New Relic we managed to identify a few obvious (thanks to the tool!) performance issues and fix them in less than two hours - a time-span that started with the installation of the package and ended with the live delpoyment of the optimizations :) New Relic's alerts keep your peace of mind about the state of your servers without spamming your indox. (No, we aren't affiliated with them, really!).
Microstock Expo
One of the best-organized events that we've ever gone to. It's making the micro-stock industry looks so fun and the lectures there are showing us that the pro-stockers are real people :)
